Trigger Finger Release

Trigger Finger (also known as stenosing tenosynovitis) occurs when the tendon that bends your finger becomes irritated or swollen. This inflammation prevents smooth movement, causing the finger to click, lock, or become painful when bending or straightening.

About Trigger Finger Release Surgery

Trigger Finger Release Surgery is performed to relieve pain, stiffness, and locking of the affected finger or thumb. The tendon passes through a tunnel called the “pulley.” When this pulley becomes too tight due to inflammation, the tendon cannot glide smoothly.

By carefully releasing this pulley under local anaesthetic, pressure is removed, allowing the tendon to move freely again. Most patients experience immediate relief from locking, with full comfort returning as the swelling settles.
